There is something beautiful about buying your bestfriend a cake to celebrate and show how proud you are of them for standing up for themselves.

A calm chilly night.

A few skating in the small outdoor arena and trees with Christmas lighting situated slightly away.

Bodies pressed against each others to stay warm while doing a little waltz.

Two stars glimmering in the blank painted sky.

If you absolutely love dogs then I highly recommend for all of you to read this book Marley and Me by John Grogan. It tells the story of a young Labrador retriever, Marley,  who is brought into a family at a young age up until it’s last days with them. It really is a heartwarming and touching story of a dog making such an unforgettable impact on Grogan’s family. The last few chapters of the book, I admit, really brought tears into my eyes and I just had to have my own dog, Lassie, lie beside me as I’m reading. I learned of this book after looking at the favourite reads on a pamphlet that was being distributed by the Toronto Public Library. Since then, I’ve been recommending it to all my dog lover friends, and I’m even trying to get my mom hooked on to this. If you want to learn more about the book visit the website: http://www.marleyandme.com/

Believe it or not It gets better! I was actually browsing movies online and I found out they’re making Marley and Me into a movie with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. It’s being released in December 2008 but that doesn’t stop me from being excited. Be sure to read the book and then hit the theatres once it’s out!

1. Have your boyfriend call you during class to figure out where you’re heading afterschool and also have him talk to your best friend.

2. Question deeply why your boyfriend is talking to your best friend over your cell-phone and attempt to figure out what they could be possibly scheming.

3. Have your boyfriend hang up on you on the phone because he is apparently “busy” from other people calling on the other line.

4. Let your best friend soothe your hurt little sensitive soul with some chocolate you bought yourself. (more…)

happy 20th birthday !

I think the birthday video that I gave Ted has been the best creative and thoughtful gift I’ve ever given to him. Yup, I feel good now. I never really understood the joy Ted would have while starring at me until his birthday. He could barely contain his excitement and I loved watching him smiling through the whole day. Although he figured out almost everything that was supposed to happen, I’m glad the birthday video was not spoiled so the reaction I got from him just made me feel all the effort and time I invested was all worth it.

The scarf I finally finished knitting for him turned out quite nicely. Now he can gloat to everyone who made it for him and will always have my love wrapped around him to keep him warm and fuzzy. Now I can sleep in peace without having to worry and stressing over ideas for the video. It is definitely energy draining, but I pulled through!

I honestly believe what we have is so much stronger than most of the superficial relationships out there. The four months we separated ourselves from each other to pray and receive an answer from Him has really made all the difference. Having the same religious beliefs definitely harmonizes us better and of course, help each other grow spiritually. Although, I’m not as ‘mature’ as other BASIC’s, but I have grown a considerable amount and changed for the better in so many ways. Now… to run back into kowala’s arms for a hug.
